Inspired by rap icons Nicki Minaj, Tupac, and local legends like Nonini and E-Sir, Groovy Jo began rapping at just 11.
Her professional journey took off in 2018, with viral freestyles during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her groundbreaking mixtape, The Groovy Way (2021), along with its deluxe edition and "Shrappin' Rage" (2022), reflects her mastery of trap, drill, Afrobeats, and Afropop.
