Fake’well is a South African Amapiano DJ and production duo composed of Gomolemo Diloane and Omphemetse Katlego, collectively known as Fake MusiQ × Maxwell. They are recognized for their distinctive “Canadian” sound, combining melodic depth, atmospheric textures, and Amapiano’s signature log-drum rhythms.
The duo first gained attention with early releases like Welele and Briyani vs Harvard, which highlighted their production skills and ability to create tracks that resonate both on the dancefloor and digital platforms. In 2023, they released the EP Art to Heart, showcasing their versatility as DJs, producers, and songwriters. Their 2025 album Welcome To FakeVille expanded their discography with a mix of high-energy club anthems and melodic mid-tempo tracks.
Fake’well have collaborated with respected South African artists including Royal Musiq, Musical Jazz, DJY Biza, Uncool MC, CowBoii, Mellow & Sleazy, and Marsey SA. As performers and producers, they continue to influence and shape the evolving Amapiano scene.
