Emmanuella Issembe, professionally known as Emma’a, is a Gabonese singer and songwriter from Libreville, Gabon. She has quickly become one of Central Africa’s most exciting young artists, blending R&B, Afro-pop, and soulful melodies with African rhythms.
Emma’a’s musical journey began with the collaboration “Grand Bandit” alongside rapper Eboloko, but her breakout single “Encré” propelled her into the spotlight, going viral on social media and introducing her distinctive sound to a global audience.
Her discography includes hits and projects such as “Grand Bandit,” “Encré,” “Emma’a Part II,” “Hommage,” “Ma Vie,” and her “Encré” EP, showcasing her versatility and ability to connect with fans across Africa and internationally.
Signed to Sony Music Africa, Emma’a is a multi-award-winning artist, honoured as Best Central African Artist at the 2023 Primud Awards.
