Journey
Eboloko, born Meye M’Essone Yvon Martial on June 18, 2001, in Libreville, Gabon, is a Gabonese singer whose work is shaped by the everyday realities of his upbringing. Raised in the Nkembo area, he grew up surrounded by street culture and local rhythms, which later became central to his music. Although he explored other paths early on, he eventually chose to focus fully on music and began working seriously in studios.
He started releasing music professionally in 2021, drawing attention for a style influenced by tcham and modern urban African sounds. His 2022 EP, Banger Boy, marked an important step in defining his sound and introduced him to a wider audience through collaborations and consistent releases. Rather than relying on complex concepts, his music focuses on rhythm, tone, and direct expression.
Eboloko later released music independently through his own imprint, BangerBoy Production, showing a desire to control his creative direction. His collaboration with Dre-A on the single “Satanana” became a defining moment in his career, pushing his music beyond Gabon and increasing his visibility across the region.
As his catalogue expanded, Eboloko continued to refine his approach, releasing projects that reflect growth and experience. He is part of a new generation of Gabonese artists using local influences and contemporary production to reach audiences outside their immediate environment, while staying connected to where they come from.
