Sipho Archibald Msiza, professionally recognized as Dr Moruti, is a preeminent South African house music DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Pretoria. Since launching his career in 2004, Dr Moruti has shaped the Afro-house landscape using a signature production style that infuses driving tribal percussion with live acoustic guitar melodies.
He achieved early commercial breakthroughs producing for the SAMA-winning group Rhythmic Elements and co-creating Black Motion’s SAMA-winning album, "Ya Badimo", which featured their hit "Heartless Intentions." Signed to Sheer Publishing Africa, Msiza’s extensive discography spans critically acclaimed solo projects like "Guitar Shadow" and "The Prayers", alongside multi-platinum production credits for Lady Zamar’s "King Zamar". A master collaborator, his sonic footprint extends to high-profile tracks with Oskido, Kabelo Mabalane, Dee Cee, and MÖRDA.
