Born Nkululeko Mphephoka on 7 February 2002, he spent his early years observing DJs at venues like Junk Park, studying their craft while working as a host. Persistence earned him his first real break through a connection with the father of Mr. JazziQ, and later mentorship under DBN Gogo, which became pivotal in shaping his artistic trajectory.
Within the mid-2020s, Stopper established himself as a rising force in Amapiano. Singles like “Bells” and “Rough Dance” (feat. DBN Gogo, Zack SA, C‑trix, Subzero JNR) demonstrated his ability to fuse electronic energy with soulful rhythms, while collaborations with artists such as Casey Ntuli, Thuto The Human, and EltonK expanded his sound and reach. His album "House of Dubai" (2024) and tracks like “Jikeleza” showcased versatility across the Sgija and Amapiano subgenres. Signed to Zikode Records, Stopper has become a fixture on South African club and festival circuits.
