Diemo Shimane Bambo, professionally known as DeSoul, is a South African music producer and artist who has been shaping Amapiano and electronic music since 2016. By that year, his signature tracks, woven with piano lines, punchy drums, and infectious rhythms, were already energizing Johannesburg dance floors. He experimented across Amapiano, Afro Tech, and house, building a versatile sound that resisted easy categorization.
DeSoul’s work with Prince Kaybee and Thabo Motive Deep revealed a producer comfortable with both dancefloor electronics and the subtler voices of South African music. It was his integration into the Amapiano ecosystem through projects with Sir Trill, Soa Mattrix, and Murumba Pitch that anchored his relevance in SA’s contemporary sound.
