Daniël, born Armand Daniel Barnard, is an Afrikaans artist, songwriter, guitarist, and actor. He completed a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at the University of West Alabama and is based in Alabama, USA. Alongside his academic work, he has pursued creative arts across music and film.
As a musician, he writes his own material and plays guitar on his tracks. His catalogue includes several songs, among them "Vape en Suip" and "A-Okay" (2024), but he gained notable attention with the 2025 release of "Liela" on March 14, 2025, under Select Musiek. The song was dedicated to his partner, Liela Fourie, whom he later married.
In addition to music, Daniël has acted in productions including Troukoors and Lewenslank, showing his versatility beyond the recording studio.
