Mzi Tshomela, professionally known as Danger, is a founding member of the iconic South African kwaito group Big Nuz. Born and raised in Umlazi, Durban, Danger’s career began in 2002 when he moved to Johannesburg with group members Mampintsha and R Mashesha to pursue music. After early struggles, they signed with DJ Tira’s Afrotainment label, sparking a dominant era in South African dance music.
Danger contributed to multi-platinum albums like "Undisputed" (2009) and "Pound for Pound" (2011), which featured massive hits such as "Umlilo."
Following the tragic passing of R Mashesha in 2015 and Mampintsha in 2022, Danger became the sole surviving member of the original trio. He has continued to uphold the group’s legacy, releasing the tribute project "R Mashesha" in 2022 and the EP "Last Man Standing" in 2023. Today, Danger remains an active figure in music industry collaborating with artists to keep the Big Nuz sound alive.
