ClassyMenace, whose real name is Andrea Iacopini, hails from Johannesburg, South Africa, and is celebrated as an electronic music producer, DJ, and composer known for his energetic and diverse sound. His love for music began at the age of 11 when he received his first music production software, igniting a lifelong interest in creating beats, experimenting with samples, and crafting melodies that form the foundation of his signature style.
Following his secondary education, Andrea moved to London to pursue studies in advanced audio production, where he mastered sound engineering, mixing, and electronic composition. This formal training helped him combine technical skill with creative innovation.
ClassyMenace’s career took a major step forward in 2009 after meeting members of the South African band Goldfish in Ibiza, leading to remix projects such as “Humbug” and “Crunchy Joe”. He has since released original tracks, including “Movie Starr” and “Summer Daze”, often featuring vocal collaborations.
His stage name reflects his musical contrasts: “Classy” for refined, melodic tracks, and “Menace” for darker, introspective sounds.
