Born in Mbombela, ChianoSky Kruger, professionally known as ChianoSky is a highly accomplished South African singer, songwriter, and professional fashion model. Celebrated for her distinctively sultry vocal texture, daring fashion choices, and commanding stage personality, she occupies a unique niche by fusing jazz, soul, and pop within the South African music landscape.
Driven by a lifelong passion for performance, she left standard schooling in grade nine to focus entirely on contemporary music studies at the National School of the Arts. Her professional breakthrough arrived after she shared a demo tape with an industry executive while waitressing at a local eatery, leading to a major recording contract at age 17. Her 2012 debut studio album, "Hungry," produced major radio anthems like "Sick Sick" and "Walking Away," culminating in an impressive five nominations at the 2013 South African Music Awards (SAMAs).
Her prominent industry presence led to high-profile opportunities, including opening for international icons Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen.
