He also expanded his understanding of music through theory studies at UNISA, further shaping his approach.
Around 2014, he began focusing more seriously on the saxophone, gradually refining a style built on emotion and reinterpretation. His breakthrough came with "Buyelekhaya: Sax Rendition" in 2016, a project that reimagined songs by Nathi Mankayi through instrumental performance. The release introduced a signature approach that would define his career, turning well-known vocal tracks into sax-led interpretations that resonated widely.
He continued this direction with Sax Rendition Vol 2 in 2019, blending covers with original material while drawing from artists such as Vusi Nova, Sjava, and others. Over time, his catalogue expanded to include releases like "Ikhandlela," "Khokhomeloni," and "Kuzolunga," alongside collaborations with artists including Soa Mattrix, SUPTA, Mzukulu, and Berita. His appearance on tracks like “Ngonyama” further reflects his ability to move across genres, from Afro-soul to house-influenced sounds.
Whether performing at weddings, corporate events, or concerts, he has built a reputation as a captivating live performer, using the saxophone to recreate and reinterpret songs in real time. His performances have reached a wide audience, including appearances at high-profile events and shows attended by public figures such as Connie Ferguson.
