Born in Mantes‑la‑Jolie, France, Bolémvn, whose real name is Bryan Mounkala, is a French rapper and singer known for his melodic style and strong presence in modern French hip‑hop. He was raised in Évry‑Courcouronnes, a suburb of Paris that has produced many well‑known rap artists. Growing up in this environment, music and street culture became a big part of his life from an early age.
Bolémvn began putting out music in the late 2010s. He first released his own project, “Quel Vie,” on his label Binks Records, where he started shaping his sound and building a following. His breakthrough came with “Vol 169,” (2020), which reached #15 on the French Albums Chart and was certified Gold, while the track “10K” featuring Maes achieved Diamond certification in 2021.
He continued to release music that reflects both his personal experiences and his growth as an artist. “Anarchiste,”(2021) peaked at #37 in France, and singles like “Ça canarde” (feat. Guy2Bezbar, 2021) reached #9, while “Mia” (2023) has amassed over 32 million streams on Spotify. On Anarchiste, he collaborated with Guy2Bezbar, Dinos, Leto, and Koba LaD, expanding his reach. He later followed up with projects tied to Vol 169 and other solo releases that also appeared on French charts.
He has worked with artists such as KeBlack, Naza, Joé Dwèt Filé, Jungeli, Ya Levis, and Warren Saada, showing his versatility. With his growing catalog and consistent chart success, Bolémvn continues to solidify his position as one of French rap’s leading voices, connecting with audiences across France and beyond.
