Beeztrap KOTM, born Edwin Eshun in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana, is a Ghanaian rapper, singer, and songwriter recognized as one of the leading voices of the Asakaa movement. Although born in Kumasi, his family hails from Cape Coast in Ghana's Central Region. He was raised in Kumasi, where he developed an early passion for music and participated in the city's growing underground rap scene. While attending Kumasi Anglican Senior High School, he began writing songs, recording music, and refining the style that would later define his career.
Beeztrap KOTM officially launched his recording career in 2018, steadily building a following with early releases such as "Distance Relationship" and "Cinderella." His music combines Ghanaian drill (Asakaa), hip-hop, hiplife, Afrobeats, and highlife, creating a sound rooted in Kumasi's street culture while appealing to a broader African audience. His rise accelerated through collaborations with fellow Asakaa artists and a string of commercially successful singles.
In 2023, he released his debut studio album, "Different Type Of Gangster," marking an important milestone in his career. The following year, singles including "Fly Girl" featuring Oseikrom Sikanii, "Bad Feeling" with Tulenkey, "Amen" with Sarkodie, and "Yesu" expanded his reach across Ghana and beyond. In 2025, he released his second studio album, "POWER," featuring collaborations with Sarkodie, Gyakie, Himra, and other notable artists. He has since continued to grow his catalog with releases including "Adult Tempo 128," "Wish I Had a Girlfriend," "Peace Of Mind," "Happy Place," and "EXPENSIVE SILENCE."
Throughout his career, Beeztrap KOTM has collaborated with Sarkodie, Gyakie, Tulenkey, Skyface SDW, O'Kenneth, Reggie, Jay Bahd, Kwaku DMC, Oseikrom Sikanii, Stonebwoy, Camidoh, Medikal, Kwesi Arthur, and Olivetheboy, reflecting his growing influence within Ghana's contemporary music scene.
His achievements include winning Next Rated Act at the 2024 3Music Awards and Best New Artiste at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, while also earning multiple nominations across hip-hop, hiplife, and Afrobeats categories. As one of the standout artists of the Asakaa movement, Beeztrap KOTM continues to shape the evolution of Ghanaian drill and remains an active force in African music through new releases, collaborations, and live performances.
