Simon Kimani, widely recognized as Bamboo, is a Kenyan gospel artist, entrepreneur, and MC currently based in the United States. He gained fame as one half of the Kenyan hip-hop duo K-South and released his debut album, "Nairoberry," in 2001 before transitioning to gospel music. Bamboo co-founded the record label Project 254 in Nairobi alongside Kenyan artists Tim Waindi and Attitude and is also affiliated with The Grass Company label.
Bamboo's musical style uniquely blends American and Kenyan influences, with one of his standout tracks being "Usilete Compe," released in 2005, which achieved significant success. His diverse musical journey reflects his commitment to artistic exploration and expression.
