Born on February 24, 1943, in Soweto, South Africa, Babsy Mlangeni is a remarkable figure in the music industry. Despite being blind, he pursued a prolific career as a guitarist, composer, and singer, commencing his musical journey in 1968. As a member of The All Rounders and co-founder of the Black Music record label, Babsy showcased his versatility. Not letting his blindness hinder his passion, he sang numerous songs, including the enduring hit "Sala Emma." Beyond music, Babsy co-founded a printing company. Despite personal tragedies like losing his wife to cervical cancer in 2013 and his son to a stomach ulcer, Babsy Mlangeni perseveres with five surviving children.
