Arno Jordaan is a South African Afrikaans pop vocalist and songwriter celebrated for his expressive singing style and enduring impact on Afrikaans contemporary music. Born in Port Elizabeth on 19 February 1984, he originally pursued rugby during his school years before turning his attention to music full-time. His breakthrough arrived in 2003 after competing on kykNET’s talent series 'Zing,' where his performances earned him national recognition and a recording contract with EMI. His debut release, "Vir Altyd In Jou Drome," recorded with fellow contestant Susan, introduced him to the mainstream Afrikaans market.
He later established a successful solo career through albums including "Altyd," "Ek wil jou hê!," "Wil jy iets sê?," "Gee my," and "Stukkie van my hart." Several releases achieved gold and platinum status, strengthening his standing within South Africa’s Afrikaans music industry. His music combines romantic themes, dance-pop influences, and melodic ballads that continue to appeal to wide audiences.
Over the years, Jordaan has performed alongside artists such as Steve Hofmeyr, Kurt Darren, Dozi, and Pieter Smith while appearing at major festivals including KKNK, Aardklop, Innibos, and Huisgenoot Skouspel.
