Alva Lloyd Lewis, also known as Alva "Reggie" Lewis, was a Jamaican musician and skilled guitarist.
He began playing the guitar at a young age, eventually developing his unique style that incorporated elements of jazz, soul, and R&B.
Lewis became a sought-after session musician in Jamaica in the 1960s and 1970s, playing with many of the country's top reggae artists, including Bob Marley and The Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, and Toots and the Maytals. He also played on some of the most iconic reggae tracks of the era, such as "Pressure Drop" and "Funky Kingston."
In addition to his work as a session musician, Lewis also released several solo albums during his career.
Lewis passed away in 1993 at the age of 48.
