His lifelong devotion to sound design began in 2003 when his uncle taught him the foundations of the keyboard. He quickly developed a sophisticated musical ear, drawing creative inspiration from African legends such as Brenda Fassie and Oliver Mtukudzi with the core mission of elevating local rhythms to a global stage.
Alie Keyz entered the mainstream spotlight through his pivotal partnership with Family Tree, the powerhouse independent label helmed by hip-hop superstar Cassper Nyovest. Operating as the label's trusted in-house producer, he masterminded the sonic direction for critically acclaimed, multi-platinum albums like Refiloe and Thuto. His extensive studio resume boasts iconic hits including "Destiny" and Riky Rick’s "Stay Shining."
