Elorm Kabu Amenyah, known as $pacely, is a Ghanaian rapper, singer, and songwriter whose creativity has helped shape the sound of Ghana's modern alternative music scene. Recognized for his distinctive ad-libs, effortless charisma, and genre-fluid approach, he rose to prominence as a core member of the influential Accra-based collective La Même Gang, a group credited with pushing Ghanaian trap and alté culture into the mainstream.
Having spent part of his early life in Switzerland before returning to Ghana, $pacely developed a broad musical outlook influenced by hip-hop, R&B, jazz, and contemporary youth culture. Those influences would later become evident in a sound that comfortably blends rap, Afropop, Afrobeats, and melodic storytelling.
His journey gained momentum in 2016 when he released his debut single, "Love on Drugs," a collaboration that connected him with Darkovibes, Nxwrth, and other creatives who eventually formed La Même Gang. The collective quickly became one of the most exciting movements in Ghanaian music, earning widespread attention for its fresh sound, artistic freedom, and cultural impact. Notably, $pacely is credited with creating the group's name, which translates to “The Same Gang.”
A breakthrough followed with the release of "Digits," a trap anthem that showcased his confident delivery and memorable ad-libs. The song became one of his signature records and earned him the nickname “Keanu,” a moniker that remains closely associated with his career. A later remix featuring Kwesi Arthur further expanded his audience and strengthened his standing within Ghana's growing rap movement.
As a solo artist, $pacely has continued to evolve through projects such as "Fine$$e or Be Fine$$ed" and "KEANU," demonstrating a willingness to experiment with sound while remaining grounded in authentic storytelling.
